Remaining Porsche leads LM24 at halfway mark
The No. 1 Porsche 919 Hybrid driven by Neel Jani, Andre Lotterer and Nick Tandy leads the Le Mans 24 Hours at half-distance, with an enormous margin of nine laps over the LMP2 front-runners with 12 hours to go.
The top three in LMP2 are within a minute of each other, with the two Rebellion ORECAs leading the way, ahead of the No. 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing 07 Gibson. Nicolas Prost is in the higher placed of the two, with the Frenchman driving the No. 31 with consistent lap times.
The gap between the trio continues to ebb and flow, all three seemingly clear contenders for the win as the morning wears on, as well as an overall podium.
