WEC: Injured Treluyer to miss Nurburgring

Audi's No. 7 R18 will have a smaller driver rotation at the upcoming FIA World Endurance championship race in Germany due a recent injury suffered by Benoit Treluyer.
"While training on his mountain bike ...Treluyer fell and injured his spinal column," Audi head of motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich revealed. "The injury will heal without surgical intervention and have no further consequences. As the recovery period will be several weeks, the 39-year-old Frenchman has to skip round four of the [WEC]."
The No. 7 Audi will contest the six-hour race at the Nurburgring with its two remaining regulars in place of adding a third driver to stand in for Tréluyer.
"As a result, his teammates, Marcel Fassler and Andre Lotterer, will be contesting the race at the Nurburgring on July 24 as a team of two," Ullrich confirmed. "On behalf of Audi Sport, I wish Benoit a speedy and full recovery so that he'll be ready to race again in the subsequent event in Mexico."
