GP2: Baku qualifying postponed

Qualifying for the Baku GP2 round has been postponed due to a problem with the kerbs at the Azerbaijan street track.

The session was red-flagged just over a minute after it had begun so that FIA race director Charlie Whiting could carry out an inspection of the curbs following the preceding Formula 1 practice session. Twenty minutes later, organizers announced that the session was being abandoned so that work could be undertaken. The nature of the problem Whiting found is not yet clear.

GP2 qualifying has been postponed until after the second F1 practice session later on Friday.

Championship leader Norman Nato was fastest in the GP2 practice that opened the morning and christened the Baku track.
