SportsCar magazine’s May issue delves into budget professional racing with James Wilson

SportsCar magazine, the official member magazine of the SCCA and sister publication to RACER magazine and RACER.com, talks to James Wilson in the May 2015 issue, which hits mailboxes this week.

Wilson gained notoriety for driving his B-Spec Mazda2 racecar from his home in central Texas to a number of SCCA Pro Racing Pirelli World Challenge TCB races, also driving the same car to the 2014 SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif. In this exclusive tell-all, Wilson reveals his secrets to racing on a shoestring budget.

SportsCar magazine's May issue also contains coverage from the SCCA National Convention and MSX Expo in Charlotte, N.C. This includes information about SCCA's infamous Annual Meeting, along with insight from MSX and what went on at SCCA's Hall of Fame ceremony.

Back on Track takes an in-depth look at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, formerly BeaveRun, and the labor of love Jim and Kathy Stout have put into turning this fabulously facility around.
