Corvettes go back in time with Laguna Seca liveries

Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports has revealed its throwback livery for the upcoming StubHub Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca – paying homage to the car that started it all for Corvette Racing and Pratt Miller, the legendary Corvette C5-R.

The liveries of the two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs will feature the traditional Corvette yellow with white side panels, used in 2000 at the 24 Hours of Daytona, Twelve Hours of Sebring, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

One other eye-catching detail along the white side panels is Pratt Miller Motorsports’ logo, which has transformed into a facsimile of the iconic GM Goodwrench Service Plus brand that sponsored Corvette Racing during the early 2000s.

“Reviewing liveries over the years, it was about finding a striking scheme and one that works well on the Z06 GT3.R body contours and styling lines,” said Matt Stasiak, the Operations Manager of Pratt Miller Motorsports, and the team’s livery designer since 2024. “The C5-R 2000 early-season livery was a perfect fit, while body styling of Corvette’s has evolved over the years, the livery remains timeless.”

During its part-time 2000 American Le Mans Series campaign, Corvette Racing’s two C5-Rs swept qualifying in GTS, and converted their 1-2 qualifying effort into finishes of second and fourth place. Four years later, in the C5-R’s final run, Corvette Racing scored its first Laguna Seca victory at the 2004 ALMS season finale.

Corvette and Pratt Miller will aim to build on their record eight class wins at Laguna Seca, the most of any entrant in modern IMSA history, with the most recent coming in 2021 with the Corvette C8.R in GTLM.
