Veteran sports car racer/owner Warren Agor passes at 72

Warren was a graduate of Cornell. Served as a Captain the U.S. Army. He was the owner with his wife, Lynn of Agor Enterprises in Penfield since 1969. He crewed for Mark Donahue of Penske Racing. Warren raced Can AM, Trans AM, I MSA, Vintage Auto Racer. Racing was his passion. - See more at:

Warren Agor, an independent sports car racer who took the fight to bigger teams SCCA Trans-Am and Can-Am despite low operating budgets and volunteer crew members (ABOVE), and later in IMSA GT competition, has passed away at age 72.

After working for Roger Penske's race team as a mechanic, he went on to form Agor Racing Enterprises where he served as team owner, car builder and driver, fielding Chevrolet-powered Camaros and Monzas as well as McLaren Can-Am cars.

Based in Penfield, a suburb of Rochester, N.Y., contested mostly in the eastern U.S. After retiring from pro competition, Agor remained active in the vintage racing scene.
