Denny Hamlin confirmed via social media that he will have a new crew chief next season.

Hamlin tweeted a photo of himself and Mike Wheeler, thanking Wheeler for their three seasons together. Going into the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway (Sunday, 2:30 p.m. ET) the duo has won five races, including the 2016 Daytona 500. Hamlin finished sixth in points the last two seasons.

The No. 11 team is winless with one race to go in 2018 and is 11th in the standings. Hamlin has never had a winless season since he became a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver in 2006.

Wheeler is rumored to head to the No. 95 Leavine Family Racing team as the organization enters in alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing and moves under the Toyota banner next season. Matt DiBenedetto will be the driver.
