Intercontinental GT Challenge relaxes eligibility rules

Manufacturers and drivers competing in the upcoming Bathurst 12 Hour will now also automatically score points towards the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

Last year, the Intercontinental GT Challenge required separate registration, however entrants in both the GT3 and GT4 classes at Bathurst will now also be fighting for the first points in the four-race IGTC season.

The Intercontinental GT Challenge enters its second season with three titles on offer: overall Drivers' and Manuafcturers' championships in GT3, and an overall Manufacturers' title in GT4. In the event that two cars from the same manufacturer finish in the top 10, the second of those cars will be considered "invisible", and their points will be redistributed to the next eligible entry.
