IHRA: Partner Profile - Buffalo Turbine

No argument: One of the most important duties of any track promoter, especially on the professional level, is track preparation. Not many products are built specifically for drag strip prep, so existing products are often modified to serve various duties.

Among them: It's important to have an effective blower, which can help clear the track of dust and debris, as well as help dry the surface after a rain shower.

For the IHRA, the ideal partner for that purpose is Buffalo Turbine. The preferred unit is the tow-behind, which is marketed by Buffalo Turbine as a debris blower.

Says the company: "The Buffalo Turbine Tow-Behind debris blowers are the 'work horses' of the debris blower industry. All of the tow-behind units are self-contained systems that only require fuel (gas or diesel) for full operation. The tow-behind units all have bolt-on trailer packages that can be easily removed for the ability to skid-mount the machine. Tow-behind systems are available in different horsepower ratings as well as gasoline and diesel options."

Buffalo Turbine is a 70-year-old company, located in Springville, New York. In 1996, the company introduced a full line of legendary debris blowers, and in 2008, Buffalo Turbine developed a complete line of dust, smoke, and odor-control equipment called the Monsoon.

Buffalo Turbine's products are used in airports, municipalities, golf courses, parks and recreation, by the National Park Service, by blacktop seal coaters, paving contractors, line stripers, landscapers, recycling facilities, landfills, and anyone who needs to clear large areas of debris.

"Buffalo Turbine," says the company, "is a family-owned organization that prides itself on quality products and customer satisfaction in all aspects of operation."
