Skip Barber Racing School Alumni Shine in Qualifying for the 100th Indy 500

As the gateway to Motorsports, Skip Barber Racing School is excited to recognize its alumni at the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500. Out of the 33 racers taking the green flag this weekend, fifteen drivers (45% of the field) are Skip Barber Racing School alumni that continue to dominate the upper echelons of motorsports. This year's racers are a testament to Skip Barber's 41-year formula of training champions.

Just getting to participate in this iconic race is a huge coup for the 15 Skip Barber Racing School drivers racing at this year's Indy 500. That said, Skip Barber Racing School can boast that 3 out of the top 5 qualifiers - Townsend Bell, Ryan Hunter Reay and Josef Newgarden got there start at the School – the world's premier motorsports education company.

"It is rewarding for all Skip Barber Racing School employees, instructors and customers to watch alumni perform so well," said Skip Barber Racing School Chairman and CEO Michael Culver. "It underscores that our system of driver training and development works and why we are the only FIA approved Regional Training Provider for young drivers in the USA."
