Asian Le Mans: Ho Pin Tung takes Sepang pole for Oak

Ho-Pin Tung secured pole position for tomorrow's three-hour race Oak Racing Team Total's Morgan-Judd with a fastest lap of 1:56.875. Eurasia Motorsport will start second and only 0.104 seconds behind, after James Winslow set a fastest lap time of 1:56.979 in that team's ORECA-Nissan. Craft-Bamboo Racing's Ligier JS 53 EVO (pictured) claimed pole position in the CN category. Jonathan Venter set a fastest lap time of 2:04:687. Team Avelon Formula was next at 2:04.852 set by Sean Hudspeth.    Among the GT teams, Marco Seefried from Team AAI set a 2:05.078 to take pole in a BMW Z4. Only 0.3 seconds behind the second AAI Z4 driven by Tatsuya Tanigawa at 2:05.385, 0.26 seconds ahead of Team AAI's Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 at 2:05.649. Clearwater Racing was fourth place at 2:06.045.
