Engel named winner at Oschersleben after Bortolotti DQ
A new result has been announced for the second DTM race at Oschersleben, held on July 2026 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Following the race, various car parts were subjected to a thorough investigation by the series’ technical scrutineering team. It was determined that the winning car – the No. 63 Lamborghini Temerario GT3 of TGI Team by GRT, driven by Mirko Bortolotti – had used wheel bearings which did not comply with DTM homologation rules.
As a result, the car was officially disqualified today by the German Motorsport Association (DMSB). All the positions below the disqualified car are promoted accordingly in the final classification.
Maro Engel (Mercedes-AMG Team Ravenol) is consequently classified as the winner of Sunday’s race in Oschersleben in a Mercedes-AMG GT3. Thomas Preining (Manthey) is promoted to second place while Marco Wittmann (Schubert Motorsport) is listed as third in a BMW M4 GT3.
TGI Team by GRT has announced that it will appeal against the decision, and a hearing will be scheduled in due course.
