Spring Mountain Race Series delivers drama, debuts, and decisive championship points
The Spring Mountain Race Series returned for another closely contested weekend, with committed driving across both series and the track safety team stepping up when it mattered most.
The Radical Cup Challenge featured clean racing and strong pace across all classes. In Platinum, Gregg Gorski and Alain Derzie provided an entertaining contest in their SR10s.

The Gold class delivered high-energy racing throughout, as Ron Fletcher and Doug Ramirez pushed hard to break into the top three. Brandon Rambo claimed the top step, with Mark Rohrwasser second and Josh Esfahani third. In Silver, Gary Torres raced to the class win, ahead of Michael Reynolds in second and Chris Souliotis in third.
In the Sports Car Series, the GTM class set the tone immediately when Michele Abbate, Dylan Northern, and Tony Grillo went three-wide into Turn 1 on the opening lap. Position swaps among Chad Lancaster, Randy Wonnenberg, and Northern continued throughout the weekend, underscoring how tight the championship battle has become. By weekend's end, Wonnenberg held the GTM class lead, with Northern and Lancaster tied on points behind him. Under the tiebreaker rule, Northern finished second and Lancaster third.

GTU delivered some of the weekend's most meaningful moments. New Club member Justin Bordonaro made his Spring Mountain racing debut and went on to claim the class win. In Race 1, Mark Ramsey's KTM caught fire, but Ramsey exited the car safely, and the track safety team handled the incident exactly as trained. Ramsey is expected to return next round.
In GT4, John Mueller and Mike Dean raced wheel-to-wheel throughout the weekend, with Mueller ultimately taking the class win. Dean finished third on the podium, while Scott Gibson secured second in his first races of the season. In GTL, Paul Chamberlain converted a consistent weekend into valuable championship points, taking the class win.
