Porsche, Pontiac, JDM: Specialty classes highlight diversity, history at Heritage Invitational

The Heritage Invitational returns April 9–11 to Ten Tenths Motor Club, delivering a can’t-miss weekend for automotive enthusiasts — blending Friday’s high-energy on-track experiences with a world-class concours on Saturday.

More than 110 rare and collectible vehicles will be showcased on Saturday, April 11, spanning well over a century of automotive history — from early icons to modern performance machines. The event celebrates not just cars, but the artistry, engineering and innovation that continue to shape car culture worldwide.

Three curated specialty classes will anchor this year’s concours, offering deeper storytelling and rare, up-close access to a diverse assemblage of historically significant vehicles.

100 Years of Pontiac

  • Curated by the Charlotte-based Carolina Classic Pontiac Club, this class traces the rise and legacy of an American performance icon. The display will range from a 1958 Chieftain to a generation-defining 1979 Trans Am, alongside a modern-era 2008 G8 GT imported from Australia — showcasing Pontiac’s evolution from classic cruiser to global performance brand.

Porsche 356 Showcase

  • A tribute to Porsche’s origin story, this class features some of the most coveted early sports cars ever built. Highlights include a 1958 356 once owned and driven by actor and racer Steve McQueen, a 1955 356 Speedster believed to be among the last original Pre-A models, and two exceptional examples from the renowned Ingram Collection.

Japanese Racing Icons

  • A nod to Ten Tenths Motor Club’s racing roots — and a new generation of enthusiasts — this class brings together highly modified Japanese Domestic Market legends. Expect standout entries like a, each reflecting the innovation and influence of Japanese performance engineering.

Beyond the Concours:

The weekend begins Friday, April 10, with exclusive on-track programming, including IROC racing action, Vintage Indy exhibition laps and a charity Pro-Am event. Learn more at heritageinvitational.com.
