Grosjean completes full-time 2026 IndyCar field with return to Dale Coyne Racing
The full-time 2026 IndyCar Series grid is officially complete following confirmation that Romain Grosjean will return to Dale Coyne Racing.
The 39-year-old moved from F1 to IndyCar with Coyne in 2021, shifted to Andretti Global for 2022-2023, and spent 2024 with Juncos Hollinger Racing before being sidelined last season. In his reunion with the Illinois-based DCR, Grosjean will have Dennis Hauger, the reigning Indy NXT champion, to mentor in the two-car program.
“Pairing an exceptional rookie in Dennis with a proven veteran like Romain gives us a strong competitive foundation," said team owner Dale Coyne.
"Bringing back key pieces of our history while building new global partnerships positions us well for 2026.”
Grosjean will drive the No. 18 Honda, which he tested for the team earlier this week at Sebring (below), with backing from global financial brands OnlyBulls and Bitcoin MAX. The team also confirmed the return of race engineer Bill Pappas, whose winning pedigree will be of value to the team as it undergoes another overhaul of its engineering group.
