Meyer Shank goes retro with Comptech-styled ROOT livery for Armstrong
Meyer Shank Racing and sponsor ROOT Insurance are going retro with Marcus Armstrong’s No. 66 Honda livery, calling back to the days of Honda/Acura factory IMSA and CART IndyCar Series team Comptech Racing (below), which used white and dayglo reddish-orange to make its cars easily identifiable wherever they ran.
Armstrong will run the livery for the first three races of the 2026 schedule - St Petersburg, Phoenix and the Arlington GP – and then again for the Detroit GP in June. The New Zealander was fastest during Monday afternoon’s group running at Sebring International Raceway.
“I’m so excited to have ROOT back with the team and me for another season,” said Armstrong.
“I’ve been part of the ROOT family for a while now, and I’m more motivated than ever to bring the ROOT brand to Victory Lane," he said. "This new livery looks incredible, and I can’t wait to see it on the streets of St. Petersburg."
