Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum Board announces search for president
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum Board announced today that the search for a new President of the Museum is underway. Former President Joe Hale stepped down from the position in June, after serving in the role for nearly five years.
Working with Kittleman & Associates, LLC, a search committee comprised of board members is leading the nationwide search for the new leader of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Kirk Hendrix, a current board member, is serving as Interim President until the position is filled.
“As we begin the formal search for a new President of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, we are looking for a visionary leader to build on the momentum from our impressive renovation of the Museum and successful capital campaign,” said Angela Krahulik, search committee chair and partner at Ice Miller. “We are fortunate to have a dedicated and talented staff in place that makes this such a desirable position, as the new President leads us into the next chapter of the Museum’s story.”
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum reopened to the public on April 2 after a 17-month closure and renovation. Since then, the Museum has welcomed a record number of visitors and serves as the home to new educational programs. The Museum announced in May plans for a new restoration and event facility located just outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that will serve as a place of preservation and education for the Museum’s impressive vehicle collection.
The full Position Guide and more information about the opportunity can be found here on the Kittleman website. Inquiries should be directed to Megan Lewis, Principal, here.
