Penalties handed down after Michigan Cup and Xfinity
Three teams have been issued safety penalties by NASCAR after Michigan:
The cars of Daniel Suarez and Chris Buescher each had one lug nut not safe and secure during Monday's postponed Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. Billy Scott, the crew chief for Suarez, and Trent Owens, the crew chief for Buescher, have each been fined $10,000.
Suarez drove the No. 41 Ford to a fourth-place finish in the FireKeepers Casino 400. Buescher finished 16th in his No. 37 Chevrolet.
Meanwhile, the winning crew chief in Saturday's Xfinity Series race, Randell Burnett, has been fined $5,000. Tyler Reddick’s Chevrolet also had one lug nut that was not safe and secure.
NASCAR also announced an indefinite suspension for Taylor J. Morse, who was issued a behavioral penalty which included violating the substance abuse policy.
