It's the 16th installment of the Inside the Sports Car Paddock interview show and we open with CORE autosport race engineer Jeff Braun explaining the function of third springs in modern racing suspensions before he shares tales of crazy chassis setup changes that wielded unexpected results. Aston Martin Racing’s Alex Lynn is next following his win for the brand at the Spa FIA WEC round, and after the Briton, Acura Team Penske’s Dane Cameron described his maiden win for the IMSA DPi program at Mid-Ohio.
DragonSpeed’s Pastor Maldonado takes over to detail his LMP2 win at Spa, AIM Vasser Sullivan’s Jack Hawksworth does the same after securing the team’s first IMSA GT Daytona victory with his Lexus RCF GT3, and we close with Toyota Gazoo Racing team director Rob Leupen on the brand’s Manufacturers’ championship, plus the mounting frustration on the lack of direction for the 2020 Hypercar formula.

Marshall Pruett
The 2026 season marks Marshall Pruett's 40th year working in the sport. In his role today for RACER, Pruett covers open-wheel and sports car racing as a writer, reporter, photographer, and filmmaker. In his previous career, he served as a mechanic, engineer, and team manager in a variety of series, including IndyCar, IMSA, and World Challenge.
