INSIGHT: 2019 IndyCar race engineers and race strategists

One is the equivalent of an NFL head coach, the other doubles as offensive and defensive coordinator, and both play a crucial role in the performance of their quarterback.

The interaction between NTT IndyCar series drivers, race engineers, and race strategists form the same interconnected bond, making wins, losses, and comebacks possible based on how well they work together as a unit.

Using the entry list for this weekend’s season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, here’s the roster for the 24 cars that will be present:
