Viewer's Guide: BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 1000

There was a long period, back in the “good old days,” when the only way to really watch or experience the SCORE Baja 1000 was to be there in person. And while taking a trip down to Mexico is admittedly preferred in terms of an overall experience (you can’t eat a taco over the internet), technology today can now bring a vast event like the 51st BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 1000 directly to our computers and devices.

In the past few years the live coverage of off-road racing has eclimbed to new heights, even at events as physically challenging as the Baja 1000. Thanks to the investment by race organizer SCORE International and several sponsors, those interested in watching, and listening, to the drama can log on to several broadcasting options.

The race begins today at 10:30am (PST), with the front running Trophy-Trucks not expected return to the Ensenada finish line in La Paz until 2:00am (PST) tomorrow morning – some 16 hours later. This will provide plenty of opportunity to dial up some coverage and follow along with the unfolding drama, danger and glory.

Here is a rundown of the coverage options and direct links to bring the Baja 1000 right to your living room. Grab a cold cerveza, some chips and salsa and enjoy!

Live Streaming: SCORE International has promised live streaming and professional production from the Ensenada start and finish. To watch, click here.

Live Tracking: With the advent of GPS tracking and detailed satellite maps, viewers can now track any and all competitor via live online tracking. To watch, click here.

Weatherman Relay: Standing tall as the oldest and most famous method of communication in Baja, the Weatherman Relay offers racers, chase teams and safety crew with direct radio relays, which makes for drama-filled listening and instant race updates. To listen, click here.
