Power earns fourth pole of the season at Iowa
Will Power took advantage of his final qualifying position and won the pole for Sunday's Iowa Corn 300, averaging 185.120mph as Team Penske and Ed Carpenter Racing swept the top four spots for Chevy.
"It was definitely nerve-wracking watching my teammates' data," Power, who picked up his fourth pole of the season after starting out front at St. Petersburg, Barber, and the Indianapolis Grand Prix, told NBCSN. "The track came in a bit, we watched Helio's run which was really solid, so we knew we'd be thereabouts, so we're really happy."
Power will look to become the first driver to win the Iowa race from the pole.

JR Hildebrand, who backed his No. 21 ECR car into the wall in Saturday's opening practice, rebounded to grab the second spot with a two-lap average of 183.811mph, 1.4 seconds slower than pole speed. It's his first front-row start in IndyCar and follows a third-place start and finish earlier this year at Phoenix.
"Credit to the team to give me something to be confident to get back out there and push pretty hard," Hildebrand told NBCSN. "I got a little squirrely there on the first lap, bled a little bit of speed off I think, but we were close to the limit."
Helio Castroneves (183.712mph) and Ed Carpenter (183.712) will start on the second row.
Spots five through 10 are filled by Hondas, starting with Andretti Autosport's Takuma Sato, Mikhail Aleshin, Chip Ganassi Racing's Tony Kanaan, rookie Ed Jones, James Hinchcliffe and Graham Rahal.
The Ganassi team as a whole struggled. Max Chilton will roll off 13th, Charlie Kimball 14th and Scott Dixon, who was penalized 20 minutes in the opening practice for infractions during Road America race day, will start 17th.
Josef Newgarden, who won last year's race with Ed Carpenter Racing and has finished on the podium in the last three races here, could only find the speed for 16th.
Esteban Gutierrez will start 18th in his first oval race. The only driver not to register a time was Carlos Munoz, who made light contact during his run at the exit of Turn 1.
