BATHURST 12H: Nissan confirms all-star line-up
Nissan will has confirmed an all-star driver line-up for the two GT-R NISMO GT3s that it will field in next month's Bathurst 12 Hour.
Supercar regular Michael Caruso will be joined by 2015 Bathurst 12 Hour winner Katsumasa Chiyo and seasoned Bathurst 12 Hour campaigner Alex Buncombe in the team's No.23 entry, while 2005 Bathurst 1000 winner Todd Kelly will share the No.24 sister car with former 12 Hour winner Florian Strauss and race debutant Jann Mardenborough.
Mardenborough, like Strauss, is a graduate of Nissan's GT Academy, and spent last year in Japan dovetailing Super GT and Formula 3 programs.
Although this is the fourth year that Nissan has taken a full factory program into the 12 Hour, it is the first time that the manufacturer has entered two cars. The GT-Rs will be run by a team drawn from Japanese-based NISMO International, UK-based Team RJN, which competes in the Blancpain Series, and the Nissan Motorsport Supercars team.
Nissan's two-car program takes the total number of entries for the race to 61.
