INDYCAR: Chevy not listening to Ganassi rumors
Chevrolet Director of Competition for Chevrolet and Cadillac Mark Kent says that Chevy is unconcerned by ongoing speculation that Chip Ganassi Racing will move to Honda for 2017.
RACER previously reported that Honda is seeking to strengthen its team roster by tempting Ganassi back into its fold, but Kent said that he does not intend to worry about 2017 until after this weekend's season finale at Sonoma.

"Right now we're focused on finishing out this season," he said. "Chip Ganassi Racing has been a great partner of ours; we won a championship with them last year [with Scott Dixon] and what they've contributed this year towards the championship ... they've been a great partner. We focused on finishing out the year tomorrow, and then we're going to start looking forward to 2017."
Honda Racing / HPD president Art St Cyr refused to be drawn on Ganassi specifically, instead repeating his earlier comments that such conversations across the paddock are normal when team contracts are nearing their end.
"It's that time of year when everybody talks about [teams] – to say that we're not, wouldn't be correct," he said. "We always talk to everybody. We have our contracts with our teams coming up; are they happy with us, are we happy with them – we always talk about those kinds of things."
Ganassi decamped from Honda to Chevrolet at the end of the 2013 season, with Andretti Autosport moving in the other direction.
