INDYCAR: Coyne team working to repair Daly’s car

The Dale Coyne Racing team is busy trying to complete repairs on Conor Daly's car in time to make the second and final practice session of the day at Watkins Glen.

The rookie spun after touching a wet curb shortly after the 45-minute practice session started Friday morning and clouted the Turn 6 barriers with the right side of the No. 18 Honda. Significant damage to the suspension and right-side bodywork, along with the somewhat short turnaround between sessions, has the DCR team working hard to get Daly on track for the invaluable two-hour session after missing most of the morning's running.

"I'm OK," a frustrated Daly told RACER. "It just went, immediately, and I was crossed up, full lock, the moment it happened. There just wasn't enough room to save it."

Daly, who only turned four laps before his crash, finished FP1 last among the 22 drivers entered for Sunday's IndyCar Grand Prix at The Glen. Rookie teammate RC Enerson was 17th in the No. 18 DCR Honda.
