Throwback Thursday Video: Phil Hill at Road America, 1955

A 27-year-old Phil Hill teamed up with George Tilp to drive George's 750 Monza 0498M Ferrari No. 3 at Road America's inaugural race weekend on Sept. 10-11, 1955. Briggs Cunningham's driver Sherwood Johnston, in a long-nose D-type Jaguar, battled Hill to a photo finish. The first race features Paul O'Shea driving Tilp's Mercedes 300SL Gull Wing to a class D victory.
