Würth becomes Schumacher’s primary sponsor for Indy 500

Mick Schumacher’s first Indianapolis 500 will be run with primary sponsorship from the North American arm of German assembly and fastener materials manufacturer Würth.

Würth moves into the primary position on Schumacher’s No. 47 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda as ENVE, which has taken multiple races as his primary, shifts to an associate role for Sunday’s race.

“The partnership between RLL and the Würth Group is an exciting opportunity to support a young German rookie like Schumacher,” said Würth’s Kurt Weinhardt. “It’s inspiring to see a rookie compete in the Indy 500, one of the most iconic races in the world. As a strong German brand, Würth is proud to support him at the start of his IndyCar journey while continuing to grow as a global leader with a clear vision to strengthen its presence in North America, just as it has across the world.”

The deal for RLL is the latest one struck by team president Jay Frye.

“This partnership brings together two iconic German names for one of the most legendary events in the world – the 110th running of the Indy 500,” Frye said. “Together, we’re celebrating a shared commitment to performance, precision, and innovation on racing’s biggest stage.”
