WTCC: Zengo signs two Hungarian teenagers

Zengo Motorsport has announced that Hungarian teenagers Ferenc Ficza and Daniel Nagy will pilot its pair of Honda Civics in the World Touring Car Championship this season.
The pair each contested one round of the TCR International series with Zengo last season and will step up to the WTCC in an extended line-up for the Hungarian squad, after Norbert Michelisz's move to the factory-backed Honda team for 2016.
Ficza, 19, also raced in the European Touring Car Cup with the outfit prior to his TCR outing last year, while 17-year-old team-mate Nagy qualified third on his TCR debut at the Red Bull Ring. Both drivers will receive coaching from Michelisz.
The team, which helped Michelisz to fourth in the drivers' championship in 2014 as well as a pair of Independent drivers' titles, had been coy on its WTCC future after the Hungarian's departure. But its commitment was confirmed at the season launch event earlier this month, where its expansion to two Civics was revealed.
Michelisz, a four-time race winner in the WTCC, said earlier this month he was delighted that the legacy of his success with the squad would continue.
"It is fantastic news," he said. "I always believed that Zoltan [Zengo, team principal] has the skills to continue if he wants. He is a great person, I'm really thankful to him for my past success. You cannot believe how many possible superstars we have in Hungary.
"I have a strong belief that he will do well this season and in two or three years, we will have a very strong competition from his drivers."
