GP3: Fuoco stays on top in Estoril testing

Ferrari junior Antonio Fuoco dominated the final day of GP3 Series testing at Estoril, topping both morning and afternoon sessions as he had on Wednesday.

The times set in the morning session were marginally quicker, with Trident driver Fuoco fastest from Jake Dennis of Arden. Alexander Albon continued his strong form in third for the ART Grand Prix team, three tenths of a second slower than Dennis.

Fuoco was a victim of technical gremlins toward the end of the morning's running, causing a red flag. Trident's Artur Janosz suffered similarly with technical issues, but fared better in the afternoon's running, finishing only two tenths shy of his pace-setting Trident teammate Fuoco.

Alex Palou also gave Campos something to smile about by finishing in the top three. Sandy Stuvik ended the session fourth fastest but caused an initial red flag, again attributed to technical maladies.

Others to cause stoppages during the day included Konstantin Tereshchenko and newcomer Hongli Ye with crashes and Kevin Jorg and Matt Parry with mechanical problems.
