TV Ratings: NASCAR, NHRA start on Fox

The start of the NASCAR season on FOX Sports coincided with the debut of NHRA drag racing on the Fox family of channels.

NASCAR's Sprint Unlimited earned a 2.6 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, which according to Sports Media Watch is a 19% from last year (3.2) but up 44% from 2014 when the race aired on Fox Sports 1 (1.8).

Meanwhile, NHRA's Mello Yello Drag Racing Series appeared to lose none of its audience with its move from ESPN. Live coverage of eliminations Sunday night on FS1 averaged 640,000 viewers.
