F1: Haas opts for rollout over car launch
The Haas Formula 1 team's first challenger will break cover on the opening morning of the first pre-season test at Barcelona next month.
The American team, which will run Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez, becomes the 11th team on the F1 grid this season. It had considered a bespoke launch ahead of the first test but shelved the idea when the season-opener was brought forward two weeks.
The tweaked calendar meant testing was brought forward to February 22 and that in turn put pressure on teams to get their cars ready on time.
Sauber has chosen to wait until the second winter test to introduce its 2016 car having also adjusted plans due to the calendar revision.
Haas is on course to be ready for the first test after passing the mandatory 2016 crash tests earlier this month.
Manor will also reveal its 2016 design on the opening morning of the first test, with McLaren planning to do so the previous day.
Of the other teams to reveal details so far, Red Bull plans a livery launch on February 17 ahead of a roll-out at testing and Renault will mark its return to F1 with a presentation on February 3.
