The Skip Barber Racing Academy Shootout is here

The field for the 2015 Skip Barber Racing Academy is set, and participants are ready to test their racing skills in this competitive scholarship program.

The annual Skip Barber Racing Academy will meet at Sebring International Raceway on January 11-13, 2016, and the event will provide racing enthusiasts the chance to pursue their racing dreams with unique access to expert training, coaching and track time.

The minimum eligibility for candidates of the Academy is a Skip Barber 3 Day Formula Racing School and Advanced 2 Day Racing School. Thirty-eight racers from across the country will meet to put their training and drive to work for a chance to win the grand prize of a full paid season in the Skip Barber Racing Series. Other Skip Barber Scholarship prizes include a $15,000 scholarship for second place and a $10,000 scholarship for third place.

RaceCraft1 and RACER Magazine will also be awarding prizes to the winners of the competition. The winner will be receiving a 3 Day Comprehensive Evaluation provided by RaceCraft1 and The Top Gun Award provided by Racer Magazine. Second place winner will receive a 1 Day Race Event Preparation Program provided by RaceCraft1. Third place will receive a consultation on Training and Simulation Equipment provided by RaceCraft1.
