Drivers adjusting to F3 handbrake ban

Prema Powerteam boss Rene Rosin is confident that his driver Jake Dennis will not suffer any further problems with the revised start system for this year's Formula 3 European Championship.

Dennis stalled on the green-flag lap of the second race of last weekend's Hockenheim round, and had to start from the pitlane. F3 formerly used handbrake systems, developed by each team, to "preload" the car and launch it off the line, but these have been banned from 2015.

Dennis is the first front-running driver to suffer a stall, and said immediately after the race: "I'm finding it hard to get my head around this new system." But Rosin believes the Racing Steps Foundation protege will soon adapt.

"These drivers get used to things quite quickly," he said, "but Jake is possibly suffering a bit more.

"It's just a question of time to get him synchronized – it doesn't need to become a problem."
