Schumacher Jr. reportedly tests Formula 4 car

Michael Schumacher's 15-year-old son, Mick, has been tipped for a switch to cars since

his starring performance at the World KF-Junior Karting Championship back in September

(that's Mick at left, ABOVE), and now appears to making the first steps toward following in his legendary father's footsteps. Swiss newspaper Osterreich reports that Schumacher Jr. tested a Formula 4 car for European open-wheel giant Mucke Motorsports this week at Valencia.

"Mick is certainly talented," team boss Peter Mucke told the newspaper, "but you cannot say absolutely that a good kart driver will be fast in a Formula 1 car. It is no good only having a great name as a driver, you have to be fast. After a day of testing, no assessment of Mick is possible yet."

Osterreich indicated that Schumacher Jr. plans another season of karting in any case, but is considering moving up to the F4 category in 2016. The Schumacher family's manager, Sabine Kehm," declined to comment on the report.
