Baja 1000: MacCachren/McMillin/Voss win overall as Toyota team takes Production class
The Ford Trophy Truck team of Rob MacCachren, Andy McMillin and Jason Voss (LEFT) have taken the overall victory at the 47th running of the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, while the Toyota TRD Pro Tundra (ABOVE) driven by Jamie Bestwick and Andy Bell won the Production class. Results are still unofficial pending review by organizer SCORE International.
After qualifying for off-road racing's signature event as the second-fastest Trophy Truck behind Robby Gordon last week in Las Vegas, MacCachren and company took command of the 1,275-mile race through the rugged Mexican countryside race in the No. 11 Ford F-150.
The enduro started in Ensenada and traveled down the Baja peninsula to the finish line in La Paz. Finishers from the mammoth 240-vehicle starting field will continue to come in throughout the day, so all results will remain unofficial until SCORE has time to review the tracking data.
