IndyCar confirms first eight races of 2027

The IndyCar Series has confirmed the first eight races of the 2027 season as part of a multi-phased approach to releasing its next calendar.

As Penske Corporation President Bud Denker recently told RACER, the series’ next schedule will feature a return to 17 races, and for the third straight season, all races will air live on FOX.

The structure to open the season follows the busy pacing established in 2026 where four races take place in a span of five weeks. For 2027, the process starts one week later; St. Petersburg went green on March 1 this year and Barber Motorsports Park concluded on March 29, and all shift with a start on March 7.

• Sunday, June 6 Streets of Detroit

The series also confirmed two official tests for the field of Dallara DW12s as they enter the final season of competition with the return to Phoenix Raceway for pre-season testing on Feb. 23-24 and the Indy Open Test on May 4-5.
