Reddick awarded pole after Coca-Cola 600 qualifying is rained out
Tyler Reddick and Ty Gibbs will lead the Cup Series field to the green flag for NASCAR’s longest night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Reddick, the championship points leader, is on the pole for the Coca-Cola 600 after qualifying was washed out on Saturday afternoon. Toyota teammate Gibbs will start second. The field was set per the NASCAR rulebook.
Shane van Gisbergen will start third, Michael McDowell will start fourth, and Chase Briscoe will start fifth. Ryan Blaney will start sixth with Chris Buescher in the seventh starting position.
Austin Cindric will start eighth, Austin Dillon will start ninth, and AJ Allmendinger will start 10th.
In the 13th starting position will be Austin Hill. He is replacing the late Kyle Busch for the weekend at Richard Childress Racing.
Chase Elliott starts 16th, Christopher Bell starts 17th, and Kyle Larson starts 18th. Bubba Wallace starts 24th, Connor Zilisch starts 25th, Brad Keselowski starts 26th, and Ross Chastain starts 27th.
Chastain is the defending race winner for Trackhouse Racing.
Alex Bowman starts 29th, William Byron starts 31st, and Joey Logano starts 33rd. Katherine Legge will start 37th in her attempt to run both the Coke 600 and the Indianapolis 500.
There are 39 teams entered at Charlotte, and all made the field. In addition to the charter teams, the Open entries are Legge for Live Fast Motorsports, Corey Heim for 23XI Racing, and Timmy Hill for Garage 66.
