NHRA docuseries ‘Chasing Speed’ coming in January
NHRA and VICE TV announced a new partnership Thursday for a six-part docuseries that will drop in late January 2026.
“Chasing Speed” will debut Wednesday, Jan. 21, on VICE TV ahead of the NHRA’s 75th anniversary season. It will cover the entire 2025 season, as told by the teams that competed for the championship.
“Chasing Speed delivers the high-stakes, adrenaline-fueled action that VICE TV audiences crave,” said Vice TV president Peter Gaffney. “This thrilling docuseries will have viewers on the edge of their seats, and we’re proud to partner with the NHRA as they celebrate this historic milestone for the sport.”
NHRA concludes its 2025 season this weekend in Pomona, Calif. Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Austin Prock (Funny Car) are set to become two-time champions in their respective classes. Dallas Glenn is in position for his first title in Pro Stock, and Richard Gadson, also looking for his first in Pro Stock Motorcycle, will battle teammate Gaige Herrera, the two-time series champion.
The 2026 drag racing season begins March 5-8, 2026, in Gainesville, Fla.
