Cadillac Racing appoints Moore as LMDh chief engineer for IMSA, FIA WEC

Cadillac Racing has bolstered its sportscar racing division's technical staff with the new appointment of Jeromy Moore as LMDh chief engineer for its IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship programs.

Moore joins the American manufacturer after an impressive career spanning top-level motorsport in both Australia and Europe. 

The Brisbane-born engineer spent nearly two decades in Australia's Supercars Championship with Triple Eight Race Engineering,taking on roles from race engineer to chief designer, before rising to technical director – a position he held for six years. During his tenure, he also oversaw the homologation of the Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Supercar for 2023.

In endurance racing, he also brings valuable experience from time spent at Porsche, where he worked on both the RSR and LMP1 programs for the German brand. Moore was a race engineer for the 2016 FIA WEC LMP1 World Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning team.

Based at General Motors’ Charlotte Technical Center, Moore will report directly to Mark Stielow, GM’s director of motorsports competition programs.

“Jeromy brings extensive motorsports experience to the Cadillac Racing team, and we look forward to benefiting from his technical leadership,” said Stielow. “The moves reflect the level of resources and investment that GM is making in its global motorsports initiatives.”

Moore added: “As a member of the Cadillac Racing team, I’ll apply my experience across vastly different programs to guide and complement the already strong team to help achieve our ultimate goals of success in Le Mans, across the WEC and IMSA series.”

Cadillac Racing heads into the final rounds of the IMSA and WEC seasons at Road Atlanta and Bahrain, respectively, having racked up a victory in each series and four combined pole positions to this point.
