WeatherTech Championship opens 2026 entry list
Entries for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship are now open. Teams wishing to contest the full season, Michelin Endurance Cup, or individual events may enter to do so until Oct. 7 or until the list fills up. The deadline to confirm driver combinations and events will be on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
And the list of prospective entries is expected to fill quickly during a period in which many IMSA events are running at or near capacity grid size. Major events including the Rolex 24 At Daytona have had to implement reserve lists in recent years, with more prospective entries than garage spaces available.
“The enthusiasm surrounding the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues to grow, and we’re once again expecting more entry applications than we can accommodate,” said IMSA President John Doonan. “It’s a testament to the strength of our platform and the commitment of our teams, manufacturers, and partners. As we open entries for 2026, we remain focused on delivering a competitive and compelling championship for all stakeholders and especially IMSA race fans.”
