CSRG season kickoff this week at repaved Sonoma Raceway

Classic Sports Racing Group (CSRG) will be kicking off its racing season at the freshly paved Sonoma Raceway circuit March 15-17 for the organization's annual David Love Memorial Races.

Named in honor of the club's co-founder and longtime steward, the annual March race at Sonoma serves as the start of the CSRG racing calendar that features four race weekends at three iconic circuits.

This weekend's event will feature Round 1 of the Formula Ford Crossflow Cup in addition to CSRG's quality lineup of vintage racing groups.

Among the 150+ entries is Joseph Brooke and his 1988 Mazda Mx6 (feature in VM's Jan/Feb 2021 issue) that Dave Jolly drove to a 1989 IMSA RS championship. Jolly is planning to fly from Hawaii to co-drive the coupe with Brooke throughout the weekend.

Optional testing on Friday will be for the full day, and there is no fee for spectators throughout the weekend. More information about the event can be found HERE.
