Revs Institute museum closed post-hurricane, will reopen in November
Relatively undamaged in the wake of Hurricane Ian unlike many of the less fortunate homes and businesses in southwest Florida, staff at the Naples-based Revs Institute automotive museum sent this e-mail on October 4:
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Thank you for your messages of concern and support.
At Revs Institute, our thoughts are with our fellow Floridians who have lost loved ones or who have been injured in Hurricane Ian. We now begin the hard task of rebuilding and recovering from this devastatingly destructive storm.
Revs Institute's buildings and exhibits escaped damage. General clean-up operations are ongoing.
We remain closed. Our tentative plan is to reopen on November 17, 2022.
With warm regards,
The Revs Institute Team
A not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Revs Institute has on display 100 influential automobiles that are "unique or exceptionally rare, each meeting rigid standards of historical, technical, aesthetic or social significance.”
