Rare Bell Star Helmet Brings Top Dollar In Gooding Automobilia Sale

Gooding & Company achieved a 100 percent sell-through rate from its Oct. 4-15 Geared Online Fall Automobilia auction, realizing a total of $239,656.

Featuring a wide selection of automobilia offered without reserve, including lots from the Stephen P. Dean and Donald L. Weber collections, the online auction offered an array of automotive history for every level of collector.

The Bell Star XF-GP Twin Window Racing Helmet worn by Jacky Ickx made its way to the top and became the most valuable lot of the auction, selling for a total figure of $26,875.
