IMS confirms 36-car entry list for Indy 500

Aligned with RACER’s most recent entry list expectations, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has confirmed 36 entries will vie for 33 starting spots at the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500.

Seven former winners are contained within the 36 entries. Of the 36 cars, only two are lacking driver assignments as the No. 77 Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda and the No. 32 Juncos Racing Chevy serve as placeholders while awaiting formal announcements.

Oriol Servia (No. 77) and Kyle Kaiser (No. 32) are likely to be confirmed, completing the official entry list.

Seven rookies are also listed, while Chevy and Honda share equal responsibility for the 2019 field with 18 cars apiece carrying their 2.2-liter twin-turbo V6 engines.
