Gordon selected for West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame
Jeff Gordon (center in photo above) will be one of five new inductees into the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame. Gordon, a Vallejo, Calif., native, won four NASCAR Cup Series championships and 93 races during his illustrious career.
Gordon joins Ron Hornaday Jr. as the second driver to have been selected for both the West Coast and NASCAR Halls of Fame. Gordon was inducted into the latter (as well as the National Motorsports Press Association Hall of Fame) in January.
Joining Gordon in this year’s class will NASCAR team owners Gary Bechtel and Bob Bruncati; NASCAR weekly racing series national champion Doug McCoun; and K&N Pro Series West champion Eric Norris.
The late J.D. Gibbs, who was selected to the 2018 class, will also be honored this year as his induction was postponed by request of the Gibbs family. J.D. passed away in January.
The induction ceremony will take place June 20 in Napa, Calif., one of the lead-in events into the weekend of NASCAR racing at Sonoma.
