RACER's World Cup of Liveries: IndyCar edition
The World Cup starts today, right here, right now at RACER.com. Sixteen of IndyCar's all-time greatest liveries will battle it out over the coming days to determine which one will be left to hoist the trophy at the end. And who gets to decide which livery that will be? You do.
Here's how it works. After a considerable amount of civilized debate, punctuated by occasional bursts of table thumping, RACER's editors and writers have come up with the list of liveries that will compete in the tournament. Each day, your votes will determine which ones will make it through to the next round.
The tournament follows a simple sudden-death knockout format: whichever eight liveries win their match-up today will progress through to tomorrow's round of eight. That'll be followed by a round of four, then finish with the head to head between the two finalists.
The liveries that lose their match-ups are eliminated. All match-ups are determined by a random draw, and we can already see a couple of pre-tournament favorites that are in danger of a shock early exit...
Their fate is in your hands. Get voting!
