UFL OT, rain delays lead to a dip for IndyCar WWTR TV views

Sunday night’s Bommarito Automotive Group 500 won by Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden had an average viewership of 945,000, down 6.6 percent on a blend of channels.

The presentation faced a few challenges with its broadcast window on FOX as a push to start early due to inbound showers and a lingering UFL game meant the race started on FOX Sports 1 and shifted to the main network where an extended event of its own, complete with two rain delays, made for a long night of viewing.

The 260-lap contest delivered 1,012,000 viewers last year, and peaked at 1,081,000 on FOX from 10-10:15pm ET.

Across the first nine races of the season, FOX's viewership remains up, with a nine-percent increase after the same point in 2025.
