Williams reveals FW42 after filming day postponement
Williams has released renderings of its 2019 car -- the FW42 -- after having to cancel a filming day due to a tight car build schedule.
The new car was due to carry out a shakedown at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Saturday ahead of the start of pre-season testing at the same venue on Monday, but Williams decided it would not be ready in time and would benefit from having the engineers at the factory until the first test.
Following that decision, the team has released images of the car in the livery that was unveiled earlier this week, adding that the physical car will be revealed after the weekend.

Renault had also admitted its own filming day on Saturday was under threat as a result of delays completing the car - with the new aerodynamic regulations cited as one of the factors - but the team is confident the car will be ready to run as scheduled after arriving in Spain.
Williams has another filming day planned on Friday following the end of the first test, when it will share the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya track with McLaren and Force India.

Haas is shaking down the VF19 on Friday in Barcelona, following new car tests for Mercedes and Red Bull at Silverstone, Toro Rosso at Misano and Alfa Romeo at Fiorano. McLaren’s launch event on Thursday and the unveiling of the Ferrari today means Williams, Renault and Force India are the only teams yet to display their physical 2019 cars.
