Earnhardt Jr. to race at Darlington Xfinity

Entering the second year of his retirement from full-time racing, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has again served notice that his TV commentary work won't be his only racing activities. Earnhardt, who last year made a one-off NASCAR Xfinity Series start at Richmond (pictured) for his own JR Motorsports team, finishing fourth, revealed on Twitter that he would race again in the series this year, this time at Darlington on August 31.

Last week, Earnhardt admitted he would also consider running the Rolex 24 At Daytona again in the future, if a suitable opportunity arose.
