Hendrick reveals new Ally colors for Johnson’s 48

A new era for Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports team has begun with the unveiling of the Ally Chevrolet paint scheme.

Ally, a digital financial services company, has replaced Lowe’s as Johnson’s full-season sponsor for the 2019 and 2020 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series seasons. Lowe’s and Johnson were partnered together from 2001-2018, winning seven championships and 83 races together.

The No. 48 car will continue to have a black base, which is what Johnson drove last year. His number remains its familiar yellow.

“This is an exciting beginning with Ally, and we wanted a car that conveyed that excitement to our fans,” Johnson said. “Personally, I’ve put a ton of time in on this paint scheme to help our team develop the new look.”
